Mohamed Salah’s Future at Liverpool Remains Uncertain Amid Saudi Interest

Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool continues to be a major talking point in the Premier League. While the Egyptian winger remains a key player for the Reds, speculation about his departure refuses to fade. Reports suggest that his relationship with former manager Jurgen Klopp was strained, which fueled rumors of a potential move to Saudi Arabia last summer.

Slaven Bilic, former West Ham boss and Al-Ittihad coach, recently revealed that Saudi clubs were confident of securing Salah’s signature. Speaking to talkSPORT’s The Line Up, Bilic claimed that Salah was determined to join Al-Ittihad due to his issues with Klopp. He added that Saudi clubs were prepared to make the Egyptian the face of their league. However, a deal never materialized, and Salah remained at Anfield.

Despite these claims, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, dismissed the speculation, stating that if his client had wanted to leave, he wouldn’t have extended his contract last summer. The winger has consistently reiterated his commitment to Liverpool, but with his contract running down and no renewal agreement in place, his future remains uncertain.

Meanwhile, Salah has continued to deliver top performances for Liverpool. He was recently shortlisted for the Premier League’s February Player of the Month award, alongside teammate Dominik Szoboszlai. Salah contributed 10 goal involvements, including crucial strikes against Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Everton.

New Liverpool manager Arne Slot has expressed his desire to keep Salah at the club, emphasizing his importance to the team. However, with Saudi clubs still keen and no extension signed, Salah’s long-term future at Anfield remains unclear. Whether he stays or departs, the coming months could be decisive in determining the next chapter of his career.
